The multinational corporation is a business organization whose activities are located in more than two countries and is the organizational form that defines foreign direct investment. A multinational corporation/company is an organisation doing business in more than one country. In other words it is an organisation or enterprise carrying on business in not only the country where it is registered but also in several other countries. It may also be termed as international corporation, global giant and transnational corporation. MNCs may engage in various activities like exporting, importing, manufacturing in different countries. It may also lend its patents, licences and managerial services to firms in host countries.†¦show more content†¦Besides, the contact centre of Dell’s is to convert the call into order, which is also a vital marketing approach in the direct selling business model. By offering the training programs to its call centre, Dell might have more skilful operatives for the centre and which may resulting in rising of the sales (Spooner, 2004). Apart from this, there are some pros and cons to Dell in outsourcing their call centre to third party. With the outsourcing of the call centre might enable Dell to cost savings. By subcontracting job to the third party, Dell does not have to pay consistent salaries or to provide supplementary benefit to the employees. For instance, this is one of the reasons that has make Dell consider to outsource its call centre to India due to the standard wages for the employees in U.S. is greater than offshore employees (Anderson, n.d). Secondly, subcontracting might allows Dell to concentrate on their core business. Once the in-house call centre has been set up in Dell’s business, which means the corporation must establish a dedicated department to handle it. Besides, this could cause additional burden to Dell Corporation such as training, recruitment as well as to manage the department.
